He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Hager and Vita Hager; his wife Waneta R. "Sweetie" Hager; his stepdaughters, Donna Crites (Roger) and Laurie Barnes; and his siblings, Norman Hager and Letha Method.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, David Holtzhauer (Donna) of Spencerville, Beverly Harbert (Mark) of Buckland, Jan Bolinger (David) of Spencerville and Tina Jones of Delphos. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
