With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melba Ann Thompson of Spencerville, Ohio, who passed away on August 10, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Jay and Gertrude Ida Hoover (Wilson); her husband Ralph Merle Thompson; her siblings, Harold Hoover (Dorothy) and Glenna Wolcott; her sister-in-law Nina Hoover; and her son-in-law Timothy Hudson.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey B. Thompson (Beverly) of Decatur, AL, Denice K. Hudson of Cridersville and Mark E. Thompson (Jami) of Elida; her grandchildren, Kelli Thompson of Decatur, AL, Brian Thompson (Elea) of Boulder, CO, Jennifer Farley (Derek) of Cridersville, Jeremy Hudson (Jayda) of Lima, Josh Thompson (Kara) of Celina, Matt Thompson (Lindsay) of Lima and Taylor Thompson (Peter Rousseau) of Frederick, MD; and her brother William "Bill" Hoover of Ft. Wayne, IN.. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
In honor of Melba, preferred memorials may be given to the Roselawn Activity Fund or Legacy Hospice.
