He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Boughan Sawmiller; and his daughter Dena Renee. He is survived by: his father Gale E. Sawmiller; his wife Marla K. Place; his son Steven Sawmiller (Jen); his grandchildren, Alissa, Ethan and Jeremy Sawmiller (Lindsay); his great grandchildren, Delaney and Clayton; his daughter Heather Pohlman (Nate); his grandchildren, Ella, Eli and Amelia; his son Kyle Sawmiller of Lima; his sister-in-law Darla Mertz (Ralph); his friend Dusty Wilcut; Linda (Robert), Georgia, Carol Smith (Steve), Elida and Ted Sawmiller (Kim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
