He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Sydney; and his siblings, Judy Carter, John and Jimmy Strader. He is survived by: his wife Vickie; his sons, Jerry Strader, Jr. (Tammy) and Jeff Strader (Karen); and his grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Jacob, Sammie and Staci. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many special friends.
