He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert Christian and Mamie Christian (Sturgill); and his siblings, Marie Gulley (Fred), Bernice Gulley (Alvin), Verner Christian (Louise), Ralph Christian (Virginia), Carl Christian and Claude Christian (Naomi).

He is survived by : his son Herbert (Mamie Christian); his great grandchildren, Alli, Madi, Malachi, Bryson, Noah, Natalie, Connor, Carson, Carter, Camdyn, Cooper, Ava and Elijah; and his sister-in-law Katheryn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
