Meliany leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Meliany’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Meliany will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Winsky and Annabelle Winsky (Smith); and her husbands, Gene Benning, Robert Larger and Joe Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Diana McCullough of Romeoville, Christina Newman (Barton) of Springboro, William Benning (Julie) of West Chester and Pamela Benning of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also survived by nine Grandchildren; two Great Grandchildren; also other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (8660 OH-66, Piqua, OH 45356).
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her love for animals, memorial contributions are encouraged to the Miami County Animal Shelter, the World Wildlife Fund, or to the National Audubon Society.
