He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert W. Goebel and Gertrude Goebel (Dupee); his wife Marianne; his daughters, Kathleen Kline (Bob) and Cindy Catanzaro (Frank); his grandchildren, Anastasia Smith (David), Vanessa Vaughn (Kevin), Albert Kline (Claire) and Rob Kline (Heather); his great grandchildren, Ophelia Smith, Griffin Smith, Wyatt Kline and Kaia Kline; and his friend Gladys Schneeberger.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St Raphael Catholic Church or the Springfield/Clark County Baseball Hall of Fame are appreciated.

“Thinking of you with deepest sympathy. Al was so kind to let us have tickets to the OSU football game once a year just recently. Don has played cards with Al during his later years and they often talked about Ohio State as they both graduated from there. In fact we are now living in his Golfview house and think of him often. He will be missed. Gayle and Don Culler”
