We are sad to announce that, on March 21, 2024, at the age of 92, Alexander McCarty of Springfield, Ohio, born in Samson, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Rachel McCarty and Albert (Stella McCarty); and his siblings, Ellen Cason, Tilda Mae Wilson, Viola Tinsley and James McCarty.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia McCarty (Stanford); his daughter Gina Holland; his nieces, Linda Watson, Alfreda Freeman (Roland) and Kendra Harvey; his brother-in-law Phil Cason; his adoptive son Michael Dixon; and his nieces, Edith Watson and Julie Redding. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
