He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Derr and Thelma Derr; and his sisters, Carol Walker (Gene) and Mary Hart (Jim). He is survived by: his children, Dale (Pam) of Centerville and Terri Gates (John) of Minneapolis; his niece Cindy Walker of Springfield; his grandchildren, Molly Gates, Emily Derr and Evan Derr (Jess); and his stepsons, Steve Sheridan (Debbie) of Chicago and Lynn Richards (Jim) of Cincinnati. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
