Though Barbara may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Horton and Mona Horton (Fleming); her husband Delmar Porter; and her brother John Horton. She is survived by: her children, Monica Lasiter (Philip), Aaron Porter (Chrissy), Jack Porter, Missy Porter (Joey Gonzalez) and Jeff Porter; and her brothers, Richard Horton (Treena) and Charles Horton (Amy). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jones Kenney Zechman Funeral Home (1002 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
