He was predeceased by: his mother Loretta Sample; his son Robert J. Sample; and his brother Richard Sample. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Sample (Finnegan); his daughters, Suzanne Meismer (John) and Beth Nolette (Bob); his stepdaughters, Jamie Flax (Jeff LaFramboise) and Mandy Christenson (Robb); his grandchildren, Madison Boszor (Kyle), Jack Meismer, Elizabeth Mitchell, Dani Hessler (Hayden), J. P. Nolette, Alexandra, Matthew, Charlotte Sample, Evan Platfoot and Cruz Christenson; and his pets, Otis and Ozzie.
