With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn A. Flora (Springfield, Ohio), who passed away on June 17, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Summers and Nellie Summers (Horner); her husbands, Melford McClure, Cary Beedy (Bus) and James H. Flora; her son David L. McClure; her son-in-law John Smith; and her siblings, Inez Murnahan, Lloyd Summers, Cliff Summers, Raymond Summers, Gerald Summers, Carl Summers and Donald Summers.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey McClure (Penny) and Kimberly Smith; her daughter-in-law Jacqueline McClure; her stepchildren, Gini Silvers (Lance Hamley), James R. Flora and Ruth Neclerio; her grandchildren, Kiesha Warner (Matt), Christina Heizer (Tim), David II McClure (Angel), Jered McClure (Heather), Jeffrey II McClure (Melissa), Adam McClure, Amy Hess (Russell), Lisa Hess, Doug Hess (Jaclyn) and Josh Shields (Lindsay); her stepgranddaughters, Mia and Sofia; her sister-in-law Loretta; and her friend Janice Miller. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center (2425 N Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45503). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Rose Hill Burial Park (4781 S Charleston Clifton Rd, Springfield, OH 45502).
