It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Lydia Herzog of Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Catherine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Catherine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lincoln Herzog and Lydia Catherine Herzog (Phillips); and her brother Robert Oliver Herzog. She is survived by: her friend Mary Alice Cunningham; and her brothers, Joseph Ira Herzog (Debbie), James Phillip Herzog, John Patrick Herzog (Mary) and Richard William Herzog (Carla Henneman Herzog). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Conroy Funeral Home (1660 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (910 Lagonda Ave, Springfield, OH 45503). A burial was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3155 E Possum Rd, Springfield, OH 45502).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society and/or the Alzheimer's Association.
