He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hansgen and Margaret Hansgen; his wife Carol Marie Hansgen; his brothers, Ronnie Hansgen, Kenneth Potts, Bobby Potts and Leroy Potts; and his son-in-law Robert Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Hansgen (Vick), Cindy Dove (Rob), William Hansgen (Lisa Parsons), Danita Cave (Joi), Jane Barker (Chris) and Jami Hansgen (Don Jacks). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
