It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles M. Battle Jr. of Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on March 29, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Sadie Ruby (Lewis); his daughters, Ruby Battle and Yvette Battle; his grandchildren, Kevin Battle (Tasha), Kimano Battle (Brandi), Miquel Battle (Tami), Kiwana Perry, Ilan Battle, Sylvester Battle, Jr., Nicole Battle, Danielle Battle, Joshua Mitchell, Tony Payne and Kellie Wilson; his close friend Charles Daniels; his friend Kathy Hardin; his wife Ossie Battle (Harper); his son Sylvester Battle, Sr.; and his sister Dorothy Crossley.
