He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada Hyer, and Clovis Hyer, Sr.; and his brother Eric Hyer. He is survived by: his sisters, Jessie Scott (John), Pattie Hyer, Robin Atchison and Kathy Larkins (Roy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.
