He is survived by: his wife Patty Lafon Massengill; his children, Cheryl Maurer (Randy), Audra Wilson, David Massengill (Dawn) and Michael Massengill (Lisa); his stepchildren, Michelle Montico (Jerry), Miranda Molen (Ronnie) and Jeremy Lafon; his siblings, Marcella Bass, Von Collinsworth (Paul), Gail Bernes (Robert), Glen "Bud" Massengill and Gary Massengill (Michelle); his grandchildren, Cody Tompkins, Nicole Moody, Cara McNabb (Scott), Nicholas Tompkins and Kirstyn McKibben (Jayden); his stepgrandchildren, Shai, Skylar Johnson, Ryan Molen, Sebastian, Jaxon Lafon, Nico and Dean Montico; his close friend Brad Carter (Michele); and his friends, Steve Anderson (Sherry) and Ken Chapman (Nancy). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
