She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jefferson McNier and Edith McNier (Howard); her husband Gerald Givens; her children, Edie Coberly and David Givens; her siblings, Robert McNier, Sarah Smith, Richard McNier, William McNier and Betty Shaw; and her brother-in-law Dale Balch.
She is survived by: her sons, John Givens (Kim) and James Givens; her siblings, Ethel Balch, Joan Wildman (Troy), Sue Huff (Bob) and Thomas Wettig (Sue); and her daughter-in-law Pam Givens. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
