She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Brooks and Pattie Brooks (Collingsworth); her husband Ira Gilpin; and her siblings, Patricia Brooks, Mildred Ruth and Kenny Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Dwight Gilpin (Wendy) of Springfield and Diane Applin (Howard) of Springfield; her siblings, Rev. Clayton Brooks, Billie Jean Monroe and Donna Reynolds; and her grandsons, Jason Engle (Jodie), Aaron Engle (Theresa) and Garrett Gilpin (Abby). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.
