He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Jurkat and Kathryn Jurkat (Finke); and his daughter Melynda Gae "Mendi" Geyer. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Jurkat (McGregor); his children, Susan Ana Houston (Ron), Dr. Edward Blanco, W. Scott Geyer (Christine) and James Geyer (Brenda); his grandchildren, Brandon Berk, Logan Berk (Misty), John Geyer, Bryanna Lampe (Justin) and Justin Geyer; and his sister Susan Staker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
