It is with sadness that the passing of Elaine Chiles of Springfield, Ohio is shared. Elaine, born on February 6, 1941, passed away on September 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Bernard and Lois Kathryn Thompson (Naill); her former husband Warren R. Harmon; her husband Dale Chiles; her brother Bernard Thompson; her sister-in-law Linda Thompson; and her nephew Scott Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Gregg W. Harmon (Jenny), Sandra L. Brittingham (Todd), Steven D. Harmon (Leslie) and Laurie B. Erpenbeck (Jacob); her grandchildren, Corrinne Harmon, Madelyn Harmon, Gwendolyn Brittingham, Addison Brittingham, Bryce Harmon, Rhys Erpenbeck and Evelyn Erpenbeck; and her siblings, Jeannine Fox (Charles) and Robert Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Northside Church of God (3705 Middle Urbana Rd, Springfield, OH 45502). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Elaine's memory to the Springfield Pregnancy Resource Center, 1010 S. Limestone Street, Springfield, OH 45505 or to the Northside Church of God, 3705 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield, OH.
