He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Applegate and Clara Applegate (Roark); his daughter Kelli Bowman; his grandson Michael Bowman; and his siblings, Billy, Clifton, Glendale, Paul Applegate and Juanita Stamper.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Applegate; his daughter Angela Sheffer (Dale); his stepdaughters, Kerri Chamberlin and Sarah Ream (Scott); his grandchildren, Ashley Bynum (Rick) and Daniel Bowman; and his great grandchildren, Chloey and Zachary Bynum. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
