He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart W. Massie and Lena Lou Massie (Dixon); his parents-in-law, Maxine and Wilbur Vanscyoc; and his siblings, Delorous, William, Clarence, Barbara and Ronald.
He is survived by: his wife Judith "Moo" Massie (Vanscyoc); his children, Glen Massie (Paula) and Chad Massie, Sr. (Judy); his grandchildren, Cheyenne Wells (James), Kiley Nick (Cameron), Chadwick "Rascal" Massie-Cline (Nick), Kacy "Sis" Heck (Duane), Megan "Magpie" Baldwin (Jordan), Justin "Jazzman" Massie (Alyssa), Zach "Peabody" Massie (Ashley), Gary Maynard and Kayla Hood (Kenneth); his great grandchildren, Ophelia, Madison, Mason, Kaydence, Kaiden, John, Camden, Aubrey, Bennett, Kaine, Jayden, Kashton, Eli, Emersyn, Elaina, Carsyn, Braxton, Kowyn, Camille, Hudson and Aura; and his siblings-in-law, Will Vanscyoc, Jane Massie, Ruth Lee and Darlene Meyers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Conroy Funeral Home (1660 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
