He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Clarence B. Sims and Laura Sims (Clark); and his sister Bonnie Rosser (Sims). He is survived by: his children, Sherri Sargent (Gary) of Wisconsin, Gerald Sims Jr., Vincent J. and J. Sims; and his grandsons, Kevin Sargent (Briana), Kyle Sargent and Gerald T. Sims. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
