We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2025, at the age of 99, Gustava A. Schissler of Springfield, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Schissler and Anna Schissler (Tillinger); his wife Betty; his granddaughter Rita Schissler Smith; his stepmother Rosa; and his sisters, Helen Rochette and Rita Wraight.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Schissler (Carol), Brian Schissler (Camille), Kevin Schissler (Linda), Allan Schissler (Patty) and Cindy Dimitroff (Jim); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Garman (Matt), Doug Schissler (Andrea), Megan Howson (Todd), Eric Schissler (Karen), Paul Schissler (April), Patrick Schissler (Amber), Kellie Shaw (Mike), Lacey Lambotte (Ron), Christopher Schissler (Cait), Katelyn Gomach (Greg), Christina Dimitroff, Dimitrious Dimitroff and Alexis Dimitroff-Dehnke (Jimmy). He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Conroy Funeral Home (1660 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3155 E Possum Rd, Springfield, OH 45502).
