She was predeceased by: her father Roy Crabtree; her husbands, Donald Payne and Joe Beverly; her sons, Larry Lee Payne, Roy Eugene Payne, Richard Allen Payne and Michael Ray Payne; her grandchildren, Jason Fuller and Amber Payne; and her siblings, Nellie, Everett, Kenneth, Marie, George, Virginia, Mildred, Peachie and Jane.
She is survived by: her mother Effie Crabtree; her children, William "Bill" Anthony Payne and Helen Lorraine Pierce (Michael); and her sister Mary Elder. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren.
