He was predeceased by: his parents, Stella DeWitt (Dunlap) and Stella Crabill; his stepfather Earl Crabill; and his brother Robert DeWitt. He is survived by: his wife Joanna A. DeWitt (Mack); and his children, Joel DeWitt, Sylvia Davis (Kerry), Cheryl Biller (John), John DeWitt (Lisa) and Jack DeWitt (Patience). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
