With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janie Lou DeHart in Springfield, Ohio, born in Portsmouth, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 1, 2026 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pitts and Susie Pitts (Edward DeHart Sr.); her stepdaughter Andrea Kiger; her grandson Michael Arnold; her stepson Terry Craig; her siblings, Peggy Holsinger, Mary Pitts, Gary Pitts and Bud Pitts; and her brother-in-law Slim Daniels.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Crabtree (Angie), Keith Craig and Kimberly Ruf (Kelly); her stepsons, Donald Craig, Todd Craig, Eddie DeHart Jr. and Ben DeHart; her stepson-in-law Wade Kiger; her siblings, Kenneth Pitts and Dolly Daniels; and her grandchildren, Matthew Crabtree, Allen Craig, Chelsey McClain (Cody), Jacob Ruf (Kayla), Sheldon Johnson (Alyssa), Amanda Coon (Aaron), Tony Adkins, Breanna Craig, Alexis Powell, Craig Ruf and Elizabeth Craig. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
