She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wayne and Blanche Wayne (Dyer); her husband David Dern; her daughter-in-law Holly Dern; and her sisters, Claire Dewey and Betty Dougherty.
She is survived by: her sons, David W. Dern (Jacqueline Dragoni), Dennis W. Dern (Cathy) and Steve D. Dern (Melissa); her grandchildren, Kevin Dern (Leslie), Eric Dern (Bethany), Brian Dern (Mariah), Haley Dern, Harper Dern and Sydney Dern; and her great grandchildren, Emersyn, Finley, Olivia, Addison, Annabeth, Tucker and Magnolia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
