He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Neil and Thelma Elizabeth Sparks Sr. (Kimble); his nephews, Scott, Ezra and Timothy; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Snow and Mark Young.

He is survived by: his siblings' children, Jeneil Young, Eric Sparks (Brenda) and Neila Snow; his close friends, John and Timothy Rowlins; and his siblings, Shirley Ackley, Franklin Sparks Sr. and Terry Sparks.
