He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl J. King and Etta K. King (Hall); and his siblings, Charles, Ganny, Bill, Carl "Slim" Jr. King, Beverly Walters and Mary Taylor.

He is survived by : his wife Vickie King; his daughters, Amanda Martin (Jaimie) of Springfield and Wendi Riley (Zoey) of Springfield; his sister Kimberly Hankins (John); his grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee Martin, Helena Mistry, Collin and Casey Riley; and his friend Steve Whitman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial (838 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
