He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward R. Oda and Edith Oda (Woosley). He is survived by : his wife Becky J. Oda (Barnhart); his children, Beth Patterson (Charlie) and Rob Oda (Carrie); his sister Sylvia "Sis" Stockslager (Lee); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alex Oda, Sarah Blue (Cody), Kara Gummel (Josh) and Kate Patterson; and his great grandchild Tommy Blue. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home (830 N Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45503). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
