He is survived by: his children, John Payton (Asako) of Vessem, James Payton (Charlene) of Springfield and Mary Beth Turner of Springfield; his grandchildren, Payton Turner (Kelsey) of Urbana, Clinton Turner of Springfield, Noëlle Payton of Utrecht and Emiko Mitchell (Gabe) of Thornton, Colorado; his great grandchildren, Mathew Turner of Springfield, Joshua Somé of Utrecht and Samuel Mitchell of Thornton, Colorado; his granddaughter Paxton Turner of Urbana; his great grandchildren, Lillian and Delylah Turner of Urbana; his brother Thomas Payton of Springfield; and his sister-in-law Mary Rase (Stroman) of Portsmouth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.
