She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Smith and Helen Smith; her husband Robert Penwell; her daughter Maria Wyatt (Freeman); her granddaughter Myranda Davis; her siblings, Betty, Beulah Tingley, Emmagene Hensley, Caroline Pummel (Larry), Valerie Cosby and Jackie Smith; her stepmother Bertha Smith; and her stepdaughter Sondra Penwell.
She is survived by: her daughter Latoyia Penwell; her sister Rosie Pack; her grandsons, Christopher Freeman (Jaime Freeman), Larry Davis Jr. and Charles Purcell Jr.; her great grandchildren, Larry Davis III, Devin Davis, Avery Davis, Leo Davis and Jahseh; her granddaughters, Larryah Taylor (Vee Taylor), Mayah Davis and Katherine Lango; and her great grandchild A'Riyah Davis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial (838 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
