With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce E Byers of Springfield, Ohio, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on October 26, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd Carbin and Bessie Carbin (Christlieb); her husband Dr. Milton F. Byers; and her sister Gwendolyn Preston. She is survived by: her son Jim Byers; her grandchildren, Cyndi Byers and Julie Hardbarger (Homer); her daughter Linda; her son-in-law Marvin Phelps; her grandchildren, Brian Phelps (Irene) and Kristen Phelps; her daughter Patricia Jacobs; her grandchildren, Jody Gould (Chris) and David Allen; and her great grandchildren, Aina Phelps, Carson, Ryan, Davis Gould and Sara Allen-Nevarez.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Joyce's name to the Foundation for the Blind or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
