He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Edward Fitzwater; his wife Barbara; and his siblings, Donald "Amos" Fitzwater, Clarence E. "Nick" Fitzwater and Rose Steiger.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Klenke (John), Larry Fitzwater Jr. (Sandy), John Fitzwater (Cindy) and Greg Fitzwater (Kim Ackley); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffery (Liz), Elizabeth (Brian), Sara (Kevin), Lauren (Chris), Charity, Colby, Kristen (Chris), Dalton (Britney), Amanda (Jeffrey) and Ellie; and his siblings-in-law, William "Bill" Hamilton and Margaret "Peggy" Potts. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
