With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry E. McFarland of Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on July 30, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. McFarland and Barbara J. McFarland (Phillips). He is survived by: his wife Elynor "Sissy" (Norton); his children, Michael McFarland and Charlie; his grandchildren, Andrew, Annalisa, Matthew and Katie; his brothers, Gary McFarland and Randy; and his sister-in-law Patricia Shoemaker.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Clark County Historical Society or the Northwestern High School Alumni Scholarship Fund via the Springfield Foundation.

“Tuffy was my coach for many years . I have lots of fond memories of him coaching our women’s slow pitch team. Those were some of the BEST summers. He was tough, fair and would do absolutely anything for me anytime I needed him. He was always one of my biggest fans. He taught me a lot about the game and I loved playing for him, Mark and Diane.
