He was predeceased by: his mother Reba Perkins; his stepfather Lavern Perkins; his brothers, Raymond Gates and Alan Perkins; and his parents-in-law, Robert Elix and Clara Elix.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his daughters, Stephanie and Susan; his siblings, Ron Gates (Dianne) and Marie Stone (Jim); his siblings-in-law, Rick Elix (Debbie), Sandra Gates and Barb Perkins; and his close friends, Jack Crew and Paul Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Maiden Lane Church of God.
