He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Bethel and Clara Belle Bethel; his wife Mary E. Bethel; and his parents-in-law, Art and Annabell Hartley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Jones (Rick), Sharon (Mike) of Maine and Dale (Rosalee Dixon Bethel); and his close friend Cindy Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
