She is survived by: her children, Taryn Yarborough (Wane), Kevin Powell (Ginger), Marcelyn Mahaffey (Carlos), Brelan Powell and Kamala Powell; her grandchildren, Robert King Jr., Kiana Brown (Terrance), Tristen Spence (Dorian), Javan Yarborough (Alyncia), Kerri Powell and Kameryn Powell; her great grandchild Alexis Ramsay; her great great grandchild Jahmir Bennett; and her siblings, Helen Robinson, Emma Green (Richard) and Henry Lighter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
