He was predeceased by: his parents, George Heider and Betty Heider (Herdman); his daughter Cheryl Heider; and his brother George D. "Dave" Heider. He is survived by: his wife Janet Heider; his daughters, Melissa Lindsey (Tom) and Michelle Cordell; his grandchildren, Travis Grimm (Alysha), Tyler Cordell (Amanda), Courtney Dersch (Caleb), Whitney Mettler (Jeff), Taylor Cordell and Tory Cordell; his stepgrandchildren, Karey Lindsey, TJ Lindsey and Jared Lindsey; his great grandchildren, Beau, Harper, Alayna, Elliana, Bristol, Hazel, Chloe, Goldie and Rhett; his siblings, Steve Heider (Gwen) and Rosemary Carstensen; his siblings-in-law, John Thomas (Deanna) and Patricia Broering; his close friend Richard Parrett; and his pet Bailey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
