With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael J. Hockett of Springfield, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 3, 2026 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rayburn Hockett and Leona Hockett Maynard (Beegle); and his wife Teresa A. Hockett (Lyle). He is survived by: his children, Kate Chambers (Joshua) of Stephens City, Virginia and Brad Hockett (Jennifer) of New Albany, Indiana; the mother of his children Laura Wolter of Stephens City, VA; his stepchildren, Jeremy Cosner (Jessica), Joshua Cosner (Tiffany) and Sarah Sasser (Chris); his grandchildren, Alexander, Thaddeus Chambers of Stephens City, VA and Abigail Hockett of New Albany, IN; his stepgrandchildren, Clara, Elliana, Aria Cosner of Hilliard, OH, Olivia and Justin Sasser of Jeffersonville, OH.; and his siblings, Steve Hockett (Debbie), Gwendolyn Robinson and Sherry Brammer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
