She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John B. Ellis and Willie Ellis (Spurlock); her children, John (Linda Newman), Paula Newman and Susan Rowe; her grandchildren, Leslie, Carla (Christopher Gullett), Christian Rowe and Brianna Rowe; her great grandchildren, Lilibeth Newman and Aiden May; her siblings-in-law, Merle (Jack Caudill) and Jerry Hayes; her husband Roger Newman; and her sisters, Loretta Hayes and Tammie Stinson. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
