He is survived by: his son Richard "Rick" Edward Freeman II; his wife Dorothy Helen Freeman (Chenault); his sister Ruth Chaney (Reuben); his sisters-in-law, June Mullins, Xenia of Ohio, Bonita Bond and Hillside; his niece Allyson Hall Spivey (Shandon) of Raleigh, NC; and his nephew Kevin Hall (Jewell).
