He was predeceased by: his parents, William V. Schaadt and Opal V. Schaadt (Strabel); and his brother Calvin Schaadt. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Jo Ann Schaadt of Ridgefield, WA, Robert "Rob" Jr. Schaadt (Sally) of Granville, OH and Steve Schaadt (Sherry) of Doylestown, OH; his grandchildren, Sara Patterson (Caroline), Brynn Schaadt, Steven Schaadt (Sadie) and Sydney Schaadt; his great grandchild Lainey Mae Schaadt; and his brother-in-law James "Butch" Futrell (Jan).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Doylestown or the Alzheimer's Association.
