We announce the death of Shirley Ann Keating of Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 91. Shirley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Shinn and Anna Shinn (Geis); her husband George R. Keating; her children, George R. A. Keating, Cynthia Hudson and Candace Jones; her grandchildren, Angela Dyhrberg, Regena Eskew and James Rupert; her son-in-law Steve Shuping; and her siblings, Catherine DeConnick and Beverly Evans.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Shuping, Jo Anna Keating and Karen Phelan (David); her grandchildren, Christina Davis (Arthur Walker) and Trishia Long (Adrienne); and her close friend John White.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones-Kenney-Zechman Funeral Home (1002 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1612 S Belmont Ave, Springfield, OH 45505).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to the donor's favorite charity.
