Shirley Jean Leach Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Leach (Springfield, Ohio), born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Steve Leach; her parents, Maxwell Skidmore and Alice Skidmore (Barger); and her son-in-law Tim Banion. She is survived by: her daughters, Teri Banion (Jeff), Lynne Banion and Anita Porter (Steve); her grandchildren, Adria Flannery (Nick), Tyler Banion (Holly), Vince Banion (Ashley), Nick Banion (Erica), Haley Ogg (Ryan) and Lauryn Schuller; her stepsons, Darin Leach (Lori), Duane Leach (April) and Tom Adams (Deb); her stepgrandchildren, Ashley McCurdy (Alex), Courtney Zuk (Logan), Rachel Renner (Weston) and Tori Adams; and her siblings, Bob Skidmore (Nita) and Jan Townsend (Dave). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A reception was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center (2425 N Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45503).
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions be made to Care360 Hospice in Shirley's honor.
