Shirley Jean Whitaker Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Whitaker of Springfield, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on August 15, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Leonard Stricklin; and her sister Mary Jo Perry. She is survived by : her husband Thomas Whitaker; her son John Whitaker (Cheri) of Canton; her siblings, Jim Stricklin of Deerfield, Nancy Gilmore of Akron and Becky Geer (Troy) of Akron; her niece Brenda Stripe; her nephews, Luke (Lauren) and Samuel Geer; her great-niece Amanda Hluch (Andrew); and her great-nephew Aaron Geer. She is also survived by two step-granddaughters and a step great-grandson; as well as many friends.
