She was predeceased by : her parents, James M. Brown and Gladys Brown Harper (Davis); her stepfather James Harper; her husband Itan Maurice Bass; her siblings, Betty Walker, William Brown and James Brown; and her grandchildren, Tiffany R. Bass, Lucas Bass and Isaiah Bass.
She is survived by : her children, Tanya Carr (Ronald), Denise Ramey (Gurley), Andre Bass of Columbus and Darryl Bass of Urbana, Ohio. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
