He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Leroy and Evelyn Marie Powers (Cardosi); his sister Judy Rice; and his niece Amy Powers-Stanley. He is survived by: his brother Merrelyn Powers (Hoppes); his brother-in-law Randy Powers (Merry); and his nephew Phillip Hoppes. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and friends.
